This album was created as a response to Lubaina Himid’s exhibition 'The Grab Test'. Mush Collective were invited by the Turner Prize winning artist to respond to her collection in any way. This led to the development of themes around threads, roots and a sense of place and belonging. The resulting music was performed in the exhibition space (Frans Hals Museum, Haarlem NL) and was later recorded. The sleeve artwork for the album has been created by Lubaina as a response to the music.
A limited amount of the vinyl albums will be given away to celebrate this unique interaction and connection between artists and as a piece of art in itself.
